Alright, welcome.
You havn't actually said what you weigh and you saying you're stocky etc makes it hard to say whats about right.
Next time you're at the gym, see if they've got any skinfold calipers. Using them you can get a figure for your body fat percentage (takes 2 minutes). If its low then theres nothing to worry about, if its high you can do something about it. Im not such a fan of the BMI scale, the fact that it doesnt take into account the body composition makes it a bit... rubbish (thats just my opinion). However there's nothing wrong with using it for a bit of guidance I suppose.

Well i think exactly the same about the BMI chart , but all the info im reading on this forum is conflicting with what i was told by the lady at the careers office.
can i ask what is the average time bewteen application and the PRMC?
as she told me it was about a month and the date was more or less up to me.
after reading on here , it seems like its alot longer? Im starting to think she was just telling me what she though i wanted to hear.
any info would be appreciated , as ive set myself up with the targets of 2/3 months training myself and the the month from app to PRMC.
also approx how long is it if you pass your PRMC to starting the 32 week training?
Thanks

I think it will be longer than a month between submitting your application and getting on a PRMC, as you have interview, security check, aptitude test, medical and PJFT. You could probably get on a PRMC within 4-8 weeks of passing PJFT. I would say you will be looking at minimum of 2-3 months for the whole process.
Once you pass PRMC, my AFCO told me you could start RT between 2-10 weeks later, though you can delay if you have things to sort out at home.
You'll certainly have good upper body strength from lifting weights, so I would advise to maintain that with body weight exercises throughout your training (best advice I was given was "train for the PRMC, nothing else = press-ups, sit-ups, pull-ups"). Gradually up your running and general CV work, as this is what you'll need for PRMC. Hope that helps.
Good luck with the training
