OK, hobbies are compulsive cake baking and trying to avoid over-training for prospective triathlons. Not that I've attempted one yet (aimng for May).

Intermittent - ex was in the Navy, I had a go at a TA Recruits course once, and I do BMF training...

Training to hit the various fitness standards is a way of motivating myself, I suppose.

Welcome to the site I did some sprint triathlons in the past, good way of getting all around fitness ideal really for any branch of the services :wink:

Ah, yes, triathlon... the only event where a 'sprint' can last an hour.

We put a team together for a charity dodgeball tournament last week (Red Nose Day) - games lasting 7 minutes each, and two of us were most amused when we overheard an unidentified spectator say that it was all about endurance :o :lol: :o

I managed a mod biathlon a couple of weeks back - 3km run, pause for two hours and then 200m swim. Good experience.
