Final week before PRMC

Post by rodgie »

This is my last week before my PRMC. Pushups, situps, pullups are fine and I am hoping to get good scores there.

Went for a 3miler before breakfast this morning and got 21min 20secs. This was hard but I managed it.

Thing is I have a bit of pain in my knee so was going to leave all running until i get down to CTCRM. Is this a bad idea?

I thought that I would go for a 6mile walk on Thursday (I need to get back from the garage anyway) just to get a bit of work in.

Will a very easy week this early to PRMC be detrimental in your opinion?

For me, when i went down to Lympstone for my POC i took about 7 days rest to avoid injuries etc. I actually found it hard to get back into exercising after such a short amount of time off and as a result the first warm-up was a total nightmare (it's a huge shock). I'd recommend about 2 days off before your PRMC/POC to avoid the shock of getting back to it (thats just me though)

If you have a pain in your knee then it's worth resting for a day or so to see how it goes. If it gets any worse get straight to a Podiatrist

Id go for it mate, i had an ear infection when i went down, my ear was completely clogged up and the pain was horrendous, couldnt balance very well and im not overly great with heights, i went down and i passed it, you will be fine mate, maybe its just your mind picking up on every little thing that could go wrong. I was like that always worrying about one thing or the other. Ask these lads on mfat they will tell you that i never shut up about problems i was having.

Lol you should have seen me in the interview 'Sorry corporal i didnt hear that' 'can you say that again please' i think i annoyed him lol

You will be fine, i wouldnt worry about it at all mate, and id do at least one 3 miler before you go and go gently. Just to turn the legs over.

BEST OF LUCK MATE!!!!!!!

Yeah i know, but you know that security form that you have to fill out after the Medical exam. Well my AFCO forget to give it to me, i was going to go into RT just 3 weeks later but its taken 7 week for the old security clearance to clear.

Ah well im looking at it as a blessing, xmas and new year off, plus hell loads of decent training ready for RT, so its all good lol
