Bit of a daft question mate :-?

Both are top class troops in my opinion...and at the end of the day I think it comes down mainly to the individual soldier or marine and how hard they train ect that makes one more elite than the other....but a comparison between forces as a whole doesnt really work because they do different things, ie: Paras do P-Company / Marines do the Commando tests.

Being sorry for asking a knob question does neither make it ok nor excuse the fact.

Paras, obviously.

i think P company is haarder than the commando course, but the recruit training of the marines is longer.

but if it goes on whos the better soldier, ask any member of one para who served with them in iraq when the marines couldnt do their job.

So who would win? :P

...and do you think all 7 of them working as a team could take on, say, Neo from the Matrix?

ANOTHER WIN FOR SUPER POMPEY!!!

Funny story, when I was doing my recruit weekends with the TA in Wales, we had this bloke, Mr Wing, and he used to like wearing his walkman. Anyway we were out doing some fieldcraft lecture and this guys was wearing his earphones.... when the DS was doing the talk.

Work that one out!!

Anyway the DS made the silly twit do about 30 press-ups with his Bergen on, face in the mud of course avec Bergan

What was funny is that Wing spend the rest of the weekend generally moaning he had been picked on :x And you guessed it he jacked soon after. Strange bloke :o

Another amwesome performance, who needs Teddy Sheringham!?! (well West Ham quite obviously do at the moment).

Pushing for a Champions League place I reckon. Can you imagine, Barcelona or AC Milan playing at Fratton park next year though! :o
