Speaking of Terry Marsh, I saw him at the opening of the new white-collar boxing gym I help out at. He looks in terrific shape, and very young for his age. It was 20 years ago that he beat Joe Manley for the IBF light-welterweight title in Basildon. Wasn't it in a big supertent Ste?

Basildon

Post by Ste Preece »

Yes it was. It was in a huge marquee. Terry came from Basildon. It was his home town. I was there with a few other bootnecks. One of them is now a world champion power lifter, nicknamed Bulldog.

It was undoubtedly a great night.

These days, Terry works as a Stockbroker. He does look young for is age and is undoubtedly still in great shape.

Cheers

Different Guy

Post by Ste Preece »

No its a different guy. I referred to him as Rick in both my books.

He's literally one of those guys who walks into a strange pub and everybody turns and looks. :o

Just like your mate, he's a top guy too.

All the best
