PRMC completed July 11-14, 2006

Post by Hankins »

Well boys, me, jordan, and tom just completed the prmc, definetly a hard run but if you have any questions you can ask. my scores on the stuff were

Beep: 12.3

push ups: 57

Sit ups: 103

chin ups: 6 (they stop you)

3 miler: runned as a squad we lost 15 or so people on that

Bottom field: sucked and was hard, but rewarding in the end, and the assault course is deadly and is what makes that part tiring. i got 3.40 on it.

Gym test 2: Hard because you're tired and want to quit but you just gotta give it hell.

note for all those in the future, don't touch, scratch, or wipe anything on you're body or you and your team will pay dearly, as in tiring bad thing, these guys have eyes on the back of their head, tom can vouch for that.
Any questions just ask.

Congratulations mate! Great scores there! What was the average scores on the whole course? How many started and how many passed? Was it similar to my diary or has it changed significantly since? (its just I have my PRMC on 7th August!)

well done mate, those are some gd results.just a few questions about the 3 mile run
-did you ever do any sprinting or any thing?
-did the group complete it in 22.30(roughly) or do you think the pti went quicker?
-what was the warm up like?
- how much harder is it doing the 3miler when your down there, in the required time then doing it in civy street by your self in the required time?

its just that i got my prmc in less then 2 weeks and dunno if i will do too good.oh yer i more question.

did any body get low scores( meet the requirements) and still pass?

thanks sully

ill read you're later and check it out but we were around 50% passed i think we started with around 40 and finished with around 20, and 3 got prmdc. On average people varied a lot. i honestly wouldn't know what to say for average.

3 miler, done in combat pants and t shirt given with runners, you start at a decent pace and for us it stayed the same most of the time, we took many turns and what not, and at the half way point we got into a faster pace because i think we were behind, i believe its harder because you're nervous but you shouldn't have any problems. I think you work harder in the warm ups then in the actual thing, warm ups are very brisk train accordingly, i don't know what the time was, all i know is that if you were in the main group you passed the run, there was a lad 10 seconds behind and he was failed. so if i were to say what we got, i would say exactly 22:30 lol.

This will make you feel good. low scores do pass, a guy there that i couldn't push ups for and what not got 25 push ups, 60 situps, 10.7 beep and thats a fail, around 5 minutes on assault course bare pass and did gym test 2 and the run fine. But you should be aiming for higher scores.

To be fair if you can't do the 3 miler, you really have got to question whether you want to be a royal or not. Like Hankins said its hard because of the nerves and we lost a lot of people on it, but its only 3 miles and if you really want it you can do it no matter how nackered you are.
Any questions lads fire away.

Oryt lads, I think all of us who passed 11th 14th can vouch that it is an extremeley physical and mentally challenging course but with the right determination you will suceed! We started with 44 and and 19 passed, with three on the PRMDC. They were lads who failed some tests but carried on and stuck at the course. Any questions ask any of us.

good effort lads, if any of u have done POC could you please try comparing how hard bottom field is on PRMC compared to POC?Is there any difference? Is PRMC bottom field harder?I was told that on POC it was longer and the 'warm up' was harder and longer.Just wondering so i know what to expect!

Well done guys. :D

Could anyone try and describe roughly what happened on the bottom field warmup? Also, any random tips that no one's mentioned before?

haha, bottom field, as people have said before, you can't really train for it because it will be hard, in bottom field you go there straight after the commando slide, and you start of with a little stretch and then are told to sprint somewhere and back, you get back and have to keep doing running on the spot, then you do 10 push ups, 10 sit ups (full), 10 uppy downies and then once you're done you get up and are told to run somewhere and back and then you repeat that, later on they incorporate hills into and its sheer hell for about 20-30 minutes, but the worst part hasn't even come, the assault course is what really drains you i find. but you'll have to find out for yourself

As for recruit training i still haven't found out, ill figure it out monday when i call the AFCO.

Hmm sheer hell, sounds rather pleasant then! I'll let you know if I'm still alive next week...

My only other boring question is: what did you do on the first day when you got there? Seems like there will be quite a few hours to kill. Oh and how long was the interview? Not really bothered about it, just curious. :D
