food at CTCRM

Post by mitch_boxing »

I know there is anohter post on this but what is the food like/what food is there? my mate is dropping out because he says all they have is junk food and crap, same stuff everynight. He says to eat healthy you would have to have the same meal everyday. Do meals improve after training? Im not bothered about a bit of junk food but im not becoming a fat bastad or getting any junk food related problem...they do happen. Anyone have any info on this?

thanks

Well I have only done PRMC but were all very impressed by the scran on offer. Day after day I suppose it could get boring but that's life.

The food was amazing. Theres plenty of it to. It didnt look like junk food to me. There was plenty pasta, rice, potatoes eveything you need and more.

hahahahaha, thats quite funny.
Leaving because of the food... I think he is just making up that excuse to cover another i must tell you..

The food is amazing when you start off, but he is right it gets very repetative especially when they end up mixing all the left overs together and make it look like a curry/bubbleNsqeek.
BUT... there is no way you are gonna get fat from it, the amount of phys you will be doing you put on no fat...

I was 11 stone when i went in, and after 8 weeks of training i looked really skinny but i actually put on a stone in muscle... that can sort of tell you.. then i rapped my tits in cause im an idiot... if i were you i would do everything you possibly can to keep your mate in cause he is gonna realise what a twonk he is when he leaves, and he will probably become a rejoin. As much as he says he wont, like i did i was 99.99% i would never want to come back as were the other opt outs on this site... but we all want to go back now.. :o

That's interesting Winnie, we had a lad on our PRMC who had got to week 22 and wanted back in as well, and I know of another who went to week 28 and went back.

Nah I think he said it was more to do with CTCRM overall. A combination of everything, he said the phys is crap and is considering going paras (harder physical training). He also said that the beastings are a waste of time and will not make you into a good soldier. For example his training team trashed his bed after they said it was acceptable. I personally think this is what all the military forces are about right? It made me think twice about joining up (what he said) but Im prepared for beastings and will not quit!! I think he uses this forum, try your best to keep him in there but he seems quite set on leaving. Unfortunate really but I suppose I cant say anything because I havent even done my PRMC yet

Thanks

Monday morning outside the training teams office:

Recruit: "Sir i am papa 90???? bravo, recruit twonk of 859 troop, permission to speak?"
Troop Commander: "What?"
Recruit: "Sir i,d like to OPT OUT because i dont like the food"

Fantastic, can you imagine that. I have never heard of that one before. To be honest it sounds like he is just wrapping his tits in and is looking for excuses other than his own failings. I wrapped and regret it hugely and like winnie im an other hopefull re-join on this site, and never have i said anything bad about training, the beastings (corrective training) is nearly always done for a misdemeanor or a reason. You may not always know what it was for but if you get pissed off wanting a reason for it, your gonna be be dissapointed.

Try and convince him to stay, he may think he hates everything about it at the moment, but i guarantee he will regret it and may well end up as a re-join. Some of the things i used to hate i look back at now and actually miss....im being serious. I talked to one of my mates who stayed in the other day and we were pissing ourselves about some of the dressing downs we got and the beastings. Tell him to stick with it.

I have no prior knowledge of CTC food but who gives a f@#k what it tastes like. If your burning off so many calories that you have 4 big meals a day you will eat anything that is put in front of you. What happens if your in a trench in the middle of nowhere getting shelled? You cant be picky then and moan.

I even feel like this after a long run. I`d eat a tramps cock if it was boiled (can be eating it if its fried...the fat).

Yeah, who gives one about the food.

As long as the NCO's come and tuck me at night with a nice cup of coco and a lie in in the morning I'll be happy.

im surprised nobody has pounced on the following!!
he said the phys is crap and is considering going paras (harder physical training).
who says its harder phys in the paras? and im sure there are beaucoup members of this site who can account for the phys beign more than crap in the RM. www
