Aircraft Technicians

Hi thinking of joining up as an aircraft technician, just looking for some advice really. Does anybody know if the pay scale is the same as the RAF pay scale? and also does anybody know how long technicians spend at sea. I have looked on the RN website and it says that the Harrier squadron shares its time between a RNAS, and the RN's 3 carriers. So what im really asking is how much time is spent at the RNAS and on each ship?
