OK, lads. I was up at pirbright, right! I met a couple of Marines, they had already been out of training for long. I told them what I was able to do physically, but they specifically warned me about borrowind! They said the warm-up was a killer, combo of crawling sprints, other silly thing like fetching and tackling. By the time you doing the course you knackered and they recommended endurance work for cardio and especially biceps. But, let the experienced serving marines tell you the stuff.
Your in south wales right??? GGHT??? If your there, have you ever walked over the beacons??? That improved my running abilities after a small walk over them with a bergen full of essential kit, like 20lbs worth. Walking up Crybyn will definatly give you some benefits.GGHT wrote:Very helpful. Seeing how exhausted those lads looked on the assault course puts it in perspective.
Shame theres not many (any?) decent courses to train on as a civvy.
Oh well running circuits it is.
