Cancelling RSC

Post by Rage »

I'm supposed to be going to Glencorse on Tuesday for my RSC, unfortunately I've twisted my ankle and can hardly walk so I cant pass the physical parts of the RSC.
I'm planning on ringing the recruiting office tomorrow but what I want to know is will this effect my chances of completing the RSC when I do actually go, I mean it shouldn't but you never know. Also I have my train tickets for the journey, if I dont go will I have to pay for them?
And finally will I have to wait months before getting another chance to go to the RSC or will I beable to go in a few weeks if my ankle is healed

Anyway I'm absoloutely gutted about this as the whole recruiting process has been a complete nightmare for me and I was finally going to get the RSC which I should have been at months ago!
And for anyone thats wondering, I did call the recruiter today but the army isn't in.
Thanks for any help you can give me.

You wont be able to go if your ankles messed up, on day two you have a mile warm up, 1.5 mile run and then all the running around on the team challanges.

Ring your AFCO first thing in the morning and explain, they might be able to give the tickets to someone else.

Its not your fault you have busted your ankle.

Unlucky mate, got my RSC visit tommorow aswell. I was swimming on friday and picked up a slight groin strain, still playing up a bit but hopefully it won't affect my running too much...

Mate try calling all through the day, you may get lucky and catch them in.

Just to let you guys know everything turned out ok. The recruiting sergeant said he'll call me back later in the week and tell me when I can go for the next RSC. I was a bit worried that I might have to pay for the tickets but he never even mentioned it, hopefully I can get my ankle sorted out within a few weeks and be up in Scotland in no time.
