Newbie with a few questions

Hi, glad to be a new member of these forums.
I've been thinking about joining the marines for a while now and I think it would be really good for me. I have no qualms with hard work and pushing myself to my limits, but I am kind of unfit at the moment.
I'm 19 y/o, 6'2" and somewhere between 11 and 12 stone (we've no scales at the moment). I'm fairly skinny as you can tell, but I used to play a lot of football, went swimming fairly regularly, and lifted weights for around 8-10 months. I still go for a run now and then, and sometimes do press-ups and sit-ups.
How long does it take to train to get up to a standard that would make me good enough to be a marine? (roughly)
