in thinking of joining the marines, would the use of steroids to help me increase my chances of success be accepted or frowned upon by the top brass ? Do serving marines use any sports performance boosting narcotics ?

Random drugs test in all the Forces, if you've got them in your system then your feet wont touch the floor before you are out the Forces and in the shit.

THIS IS ONE OF MY POSTS FROM BEFORE "I work in the drug testing field and not only test samples but take them as well, the previous comments are correct when stating which drugs are tested for but please note that if a guy or gal who looks like a man/woman mountain pops in for a wee we can mark on the paperwork for the sample to also be tested for steroids or any other drugs we may think they have taken.........drugs are for mugs" In a word ..........NO

A mate in 45 told me that most of the guys use Maximuscle sports supplements. But these are not illegal in the Armed Forces.
