Medical Discharge (204)

Post by Stephen »

I've been in basic for 2 weeks now and have been placed on sick leave until Jan, where I will get another medical.

I had an abcess on my coccyx two year ago, this is technically called a pinitidel sinusis or something, it flared up in Feb of this year and was successfully treated with Antibiotics and it has been no problem since. All that remains is a scar. I also have ear channels that are slightly narrow.

I have been sent home to gather evidence off doctors and the surgeon that these will not cause any hindrance to my Army career.

Has anyone suffered similar problems, and is this another case of the Army being too fussy, and if I get relevant letters saying these will not cause me probs, I shouldn't be too worried?

All advice appreciated, cheers!

I know this may sound silly but have you tried finding more out about your problems through the web.

Yes I've done some research and also just been to doctor's today, I have letters from doctors and a surgeon who can confirm I shouldn't have further problems, so fingers crossed for Jan.
