Where do you do your training? I feel a bit silly running round in circles in the little park opposite my house!

I have a country park (Moses Gate) behind my house and I do a lot of hill work there. I do weights in the gym and i run on the track at the local school (Harper Green). I also do a lot of running just on the pavement.

Was thinking about going down to Moses Gate myself, can't run on the pavements round here, everyone comes out to have a look at the crazy woman running in the rain!

So what?? Let them know you're crazy! I get people pipping horns at me all the time as I run through the sludge with my pack on my back. I love it. It just reminds me that some people just don't have the balls.

I'm not bothered what any of the chavs think of me, cos I'll be going away in September, it's just a bit off-putting!

Me me me, I'm coming...oh, right...

Not seen anyone else on here with the same date as yet, though I suppose anyone with PRMCs in the next week or so might just get the same date.

Hey Jimmy, no bad, you??

To be honest my training's not been going great, I've been at the gym a lot which means I'm now getting good scores (60-65 press-ups in 2 minutes, well over 80 sits, 9 pull ups), but my CV is still pretty much at the same level as it was on PRMC - which means my 3 miler is pretty good but I need to start getting out and sprint training for the last 6 weeks!

Taylor, guess we'll see you and you Scottish mate down there then...both me and BigJimmy had PRMC in April.

Getting a bit close now... :o

Final entry briefing today, there were three of us going down on the 6th (Jimmy - Marcus Ashworth from our PRMC is on the 6th as well)...not a lot of useful info (as ever from the AFCO), but one interesting bit - the CPO was checking all our forms and asked me if I'd got any feedback from the training team after the interview. Turns out Cpl Hill (or I assume it was him, as he did my interview) wrote on my form that I should be going for a Corps Commission if successful in training! I got hassle from the AFCO about going for officer, then again at CTC on PRMC, how many times do I have to tell them that I just want to go in as a bloody Marine! AFCO reckons they've never seen that written on anyone's form before, PRMC being the first time, and very brief, that the training team get to assess you, but I must've done something right...wasn't my fitness either, I was above average for the passes, but not up top...

Sorry, that sounds big headed, but I'm pretty chuffed...Corps Commission...that's the one way I might consider becoming an officer...
