I remember doing that when i was a 'wee nipper'. I was either going to be a royal marine commando or a 'refuse collecter' aka bin man
Since i wanted to join since i was 12 didnt take me long to make my mind up.
I got that a couple of years ago, it said I wanted to be a software engineer! Yeah right, I can just about figure out how to make a p*ss poor web page and that's it!
Cronks,You could hold the illustrious position of refuse collector in the Corps,Many have done so before, there is one condition you must pass,Dont take the P*** out of Drill leaders. Its a long story and only man knows the truth? El Prez.Aye JR
Who needs the World as your Oyster,When you've had the world as your cap Badge
I may join the refuse army. Ill leave and write a book about being left behind 'enemy' lines while on a secret 'pickup' in a dodgy area ,how i evaded capture by pretending to be a bag of rubbish untill my comrades picked me up.
When I did that my ideal career was a dental echnician - but then about half of my class got the same . But I suppose it is very relevant to the RM - "Give me area denial on rear molar, and enough plastic explosives to make this cavity wish it had never been formed!"

My Kudos in 1960 was an wartime Royal Marine Captian called Adam Todd, who after listening to my woeful story of how the 144 boxes of Swan Vestas I had found and was looking after came to explode and burn down a neighbours garage, read me the results for my future without the need of a computer
His choices was simple go and stay in a special house where I could be looked after as long as I did not burn it down. Join the Big Brother Movement which now looking back I can equate to a 60s style deportation sytem to send you to the colonies to work on some farm and get the crap kicked out of you and last but not least. Join the Corps .
Sadly I never got the chance to thank him for what he did for me as he kicked the bucket whilst I was at Deal.
I wonder what a computer would have said for a lot of us who joined up in the 60s & 70s. Me I would opt for Miss Partons bra fitter.
I spent six years studying to join the merchant navy as a navigator. On my way to college one day I walked past the Navy careers office and thought, "Fcuk it, I'll join the Marines" so I did. Best move I made.
