Ajax Bay

Post by Doc »

I wasnt there, but the rememberance day parade and Log run is shortly upon us.
Just wondering if anyone was aware of it still being run at Log Regt, and maybe being able to tell me who the winner is post event.
My thoughts are with the members of the "seahorses" past and present for their services at the Bay and since.
Especially Med Sqn and all the "docs".

I knew a Trev bootneck but his last name escapes me as my grey cells have left the building.
I was in Med from 92-96 with a few trips away with other units.

Well if he is a mutual oppo mention my name and say hi when next in touch I´ll PM you some details when I have time, sometime today.
Where you with med at Seaton/Coypool or Chivenor?
The Trev I knew was a short stocky light haired lad, had abit of woman trouble at Chivenor. Top bloke, a real Gent, actually came to my wedding with Van Flip-Flop another squatty fair haired lad.
Sadly Im out of contact with most of the lads, hence my post. My ex-wifes best mate married my best mate in logs and in fairness he sided with the women when my marriage went sour (dont blame him I wouldnt square up to either of the lasses)
God times in Med for me, few tossers like any walk of life, and plenty of stick from Royal
But wouldnt change it for the world and if I was a lucky guy Id be back in a shot.

I was Med Sqn Sigs NCO roundabout 80/81. I remember this RN Lt Snowball, ex POMA so he was.

That year in Norge he got neat stick from all and sundrie. "lets have a Snowball fight" would be heard all the time. Did his head in. :D :D

And here's what it Ajax bay looks like today. These pics were taken on the "pilgrimage" in Nov 02. It was an incredibly emotional experience for all and a real privilege to be on it.
