Try a Google.

Theres loads of stuff out there. Be careful though, I'm guessing most of it is bollocks.

Is there a equivalent board like this in the US? Where servicemen post advice, information etc? Try that.

All the Best.

No, the yanks do not have the same culture to 'selection' as the British. There whole culture involves running around singing songs and making grunting noises.

Nearly everone is a sergeant and they think a lance jack is the same as their PFC. Twats!

The 82 and 101 airborne do not have to do any selection, that is t say like P-Coy, and from my own experiences their special forces "Rangers" seem to think that cleaning you personal weapon was optional.

By their very nature they have little discipline and morale takes a dive as soon as they have to do something twice.

I believe you have to have done Ranger school before you can go for Delta. There is some sort of selection but I have no idea what that consists of. Ranger school is quite though by the way, from what I've read. Rangers aren't really SF, they may call them that, but they're not. More like expeditionary infantry like your Para's, which doesn't mean they're just as good as the Para's. American SF units seem to focus a lot on Direct Action and so do not concentrate very much on tab's/yomps.

The americans have to much technology for their own good or relying on it to much for their own good, they are lazy like chapps said they don't like doing the same thing twice and in their training they don't have to do 30 mile yomps like the RM do at the end of trianing or anything of the sort because their attitude is that they have got transport to take them. I have no previous military experience and this is just an observation.
This has ended up off topic

There's SOCNET. But they will not discuss CAG (Delta) on the message boards.

Try www.deansworld.com and go to the exposing australian sas link.
aldo would know about this, there`s a bloke who was on the board KD
who seved with Delta not as a trooper but some sort of intelligence analist, just to make sure he was`nt lying he gave his no`s ,Aldo thought
he was a walter,he served with the 82nd Airborne,I can`t remember his no.,Ranger class 10,Green beret ODA 852 i think and CAG.

Delta Force selection is 98% based on Brittish SAS selection but with a slight more emphasis on physical endurance, selection happens in and around a specific area of Fort Bragg.Inductees are mainly taken from
Green Berets and in exceptional cases the Rangers but personnel can be recruited if they have some special ability that the unit needs i.e foreign languages.Delta has its own "House of horrors " used for CT purposes.

Sorry for waffling most of this is in the public domain but just for anyone who did`nt know.

Before one of the nastier members does it I'll jump in here.

FFAF, look up top left of the screen, see the search button? Click on it and input 'Walter Mitty.'

Read and digest.

Sorry Sticky but I don't know much about Delta Force. I was in the States with Seal Team at the time of the "cocked up" hostage rescue attempt from Tehran. Believe me it was sad to watch the guys (Seal Team) squirming as the situation unfolded - even though they weren't involved.
