I'm in the same boat as you Ben. And i don't think it matters as long as you get your chest just off the floor and have your hands in the right place. Don't qoute me on that, i'm sure someone who has done main board can tell you.

On another topic: Did you get any replies about practise planning ex.'s?

I'll give my ACA a ring and see if he can send me one; but what i'm worried about is the way you write it i.e. what you are supposed to put in aims, deductions, four possible plans etc.

Any info. you pass on will be greatly appreciated, as this is the one area that worries me because at the moment i can't practise it. :-?

I agree as long as we do a push up it prob doesn't matter what why your elbows go! Unless anyone else can enlighten us a bit more?

As far as planning ex goes - no advise really just learn speed, distance, and time. At the moment I'm learning how mins it takes to a mile at x mph. I think this is the best way to work out s/d/t.

For example, how long does it take to travel 6 miles at 5 mph. Well it takes 12 mins to do 1 mile at 5mph so therefore it takes 72 mins to 6 miles at 5mph. If you learn this from say 1mph to 30mph you will laughing - or at least I hope!!

I also agree with you about the general format of the planning ex. I'm not 100% on how to write it down and it would be great if ANYONE could offer some advise on this. I'm sure I'll be able to do the actual planning ex but would just like some practice on how to actually write it down.

If you get hold of anything from your ACA could you let me know and I'll do the same for you.

When you booked on RCB?

For the BPFA you're elbows need to be in. I think it's the same for RCB.

There seem to be a lot of people given wrong advice everywhere. I did my RCB main board very recently. For push ups, you have to do a maximum of 44 in 2 minutes ie once you've done 44 you stop. Make sure you do all 44, and preferably in one go, though its not necessary. You can probs pass by not even doing 44, although its looking a bit risky! As for elbows in/out, they don't say. Just from the starting position you are lying face down, with your hands under your shoulders and hands facing forwards (roughly). My elbows were about halfway in, nooone in my group (at least 20) got told to move their elbows, though quite a few got told to go down lower. Quite low it is, but doens't need to be chest to the floor.

Anyway, hope this helps
