No longer the newbies on camp

Post by Foxtricks »

Well the last time I wrote a letter I had just finished foundation..... (oooOOoo memories) hehehe.... My troop has now completed week 6 and it is still relatively large..... 55 down to 43 now and a couple thinking of seriously leaving after christmas...... The tempo of things has picked up and is going to hit us even harder after christmas.... The monday we get back we go straight on exercise Marshal Star or 'piss wet pain' and lots of crawling up steep hills and thorny bushes..... hmmmm can't wait  ..... Things are going good and all... I think the troop is doing quite well but there is a few mincers in it always late or getting bollocked for something or another..... Have not met up with Danny yet but I know a few people in his troop so I will ask around.... And Danny 'Don't tie your shoe laces in a revolving door' 8)

Its far better, he hasn't has a mud run!! Though I don't know if anyone will now, its not PC. Shame, I'd like to do one, just for the novelty value of course ;).

As for a mud run we are going to get one i think after quick cover (first wet and dry) we had to deservice the kit and lay a kit muster for the following morning and still had a full day of work that day back.....
No one got a wink of sleep and a lot of people were messing up all day.... The training team got pretty pissssssssed offfff to say the least..... I think we may be getting our dues soon enough... hehhehe :banghead: :banghead:

Have you been in the tank yet foxtricks? The hardest bit in foundation is all the admin, You really need to be on top of it. We have our final inspection on monday when we get back, I should pass my locker is all folded up to globe and laurel. The Hardest bit i find is making the bed! Bed blocks, What a nightmare

Bed blocks, What a nightmare
Ah, memories. Due to lack of time a recruit with me used to cheat :o

Build the worlds best bed block and never touch it again i.e sleep on the mattress only with the bed block under the bed ready for inspection next morning. Lazy lot Pongo's.

Yeah we have a good troop section except for one guy, Theres 12 of us in the troop section and its gets split in half i just hope i dont get put in the same room with the lad im on about, He doesnt do anything, He cant even do push ups i havent got a clue how he passed the prmc. When he isnt putting in the effort which he rarely does the whole troop gets it more! its making life harder for us all, i just hope the traning team can see that

Ah, the heady heights of week 6. I remember it well, scaring foundation lads with warped (and imaginative) tales of punishment and the mistaken belief that we'd cracked the 'hard bit' of training. Sadly, experience has taught me that I know very little indeed, regardless of how far i've come...there always seems to be someone just that one step ahead of you to come out with the scare stories...the 'hard bit' is only cracked, I believe, once you're out on civvie street.

Enjoy Marshal Star matey. To the lad in foundation, we nearly wet ourselves when your troop were stood to attention in the drill shed shouting, 'One and two!'. Bless.

They probobly only keep him in so they have an excuse to give you a right good beasting. Ah well, well done and good luck for the rest of training.

PS keep giving us wannabes the updates (need all the tips we can get)
