lympstone life!!!!!
I join up on feb 16th and was curious to know wether anyone had and tips to make life that little bit easier down at lympstone..
what i mean is, are there any do's donts or hints which anyone could give which i maybe unaware of at this present time..
This would help alot, as when i was on my prmc i was always picked up on certain things and made to do puss ups for example, touching face in gymd and hands in pockets...
By no means do i consider life at lympstone to be in anyway easy.

The Royal Marines will teach you self discipline, a system by which you continually check your own performance, attitude, standards, and determination. Without self discipline you will fall by the way side, and continue to be the one who does the press-ups for 'touching your face in the gym' etc.
For instance, try looking at your post and seeing how you could improve it. There are many mistakes that say a lot about your lack of self discipline. Don't have a 'that will do' attitude. Demand the best of yourself, be self critical, and the days that follow will then come a lot easier.
(DON'T put your hands in your pockets, EVER, and DON'T touch your face!)
Best of luck, Derek

synrg, that half a second creates movement that will disrupt your camoflague, if you were say; lying in an ambush. You are told not to scratch or wipe your face so you can develop the mental discipline to ignore it. Otherwise you give the enemy a chance to kill you or even worse your oppos.
Pitch, pitch, Goddamn your soul
The more you pitch the less you'll roll
Or roll, roll, you sonofabitch

Couple of tips for inspections.
1: Get a razor with a removable blade (IE. Mach 3). Keep one clean nsed blade for inspections.
2: Clean in all the shitty places near the door. (On top of the door frame, light switches, and the insides of the door frames as well). When thy see you've been paing attention to the small details, their inspections aren't as harsh (on top of your locker mirrors and windows are a biggie as well).
3: Get some air freshner. Spray it all round your grot and just outside just before the inspections start. Sounds stupid, but if it sells clean, it seems cleaner.

Just get there, enjoy yourself,do what the training team tell you, and follow there advice.
If your having any probles with anything, dont be shy talk it through with your mess mates, because as you know two heads are always better than one.
Once your out of Induction and into the main blocks, ask the guys in the troop ahead of yours for advice.
Dont try to worry about things to far ahead of your point in training.
Oh yea, buy yourself a big thermal mug so you can take a wet back to your grot and relax.
