Hello all. I have my Royal navy selection interview on the 3rd of september, Ive done as much research as possible, and am fully prepared. But i just want to know, Will i find out whether i have a place after the interview, or after i pass the PRFT?
i dont how it works in the navy but at the army RSC the interview is the last thing you do and you get told at the end of the interview whether or not you have passed.

you will still have to sit a medical after the interview. The you have the PJFT. After those two you will have a good chance of getting in.
You still have to pass security checks and also stay away from court and not pick up an injury during training.
You aint in till you get to raleigh and sign the enrolment form.
After you pass the PJFT you will get a letter saying you are provisonally accepted.
Hope this helps.
Private message me any questions and I will help as much as I can as I have sat all the tests and have been selected to go in as a tiff on september the 8th.
I got my interview date t0day its on the 4th september, I have to think about how to put "why I want to join the RM" in to words. its going to feel awkward. I'm looking forward to my medical though, better be a female doc though. I CAN'T HANDLE BEING GROPED BY A MAN. not again anyway...... I mean errr....
stuck in a rut, unsure about the future, unsure about the military lifestyle, for a while anyway
They check your feet (i failed first time for a verrucae), your heart, get you naked (no joke) and make you bend over. They check your spine for curves, make sure your joints are fine. Then comes the friendly bit. I dont know why they do it, someone told me it checks for a hernia.
