us forces
I previously had considered that option of joining the yanks, briefly, then the delusional effects of the morphine wore off
. Anyway consider this, since the US forces are so large what is the chance of one soldier i.e. you ever seeing combat? If you join ol'royal you'll have a better chance of seeing combat and you'll have more chance coming out in one piece cause we're better trained than our equivalents!

Nik Nik Nik,Listen to guys on these forums my son.First of all stop dreaming of Holywood etc.Black Hawk Down although it was true, but to believe the film that everything was rosy and well organised is nothing but utter crap.Join the finest forces in the world THE BRITISH FORCES they have nothing to prove to the world because they are extremely professional and can get the job done and don't strut around like John Wayne etc.

you must have been drunk when you decided you want to join the US. there all hyper active, plus they probably have a rule where you have to have been a citizen for 5 years. join the royal because they're british and your british. match made in heaven
stuck in a rut, unsure about the future, unsure about the military lifestyle, for a while anyway
You have to be a U.S. citizen first before you can join anything like the 75th Rangers. This means you'd have to join some Army infantry unit which has name like a serial number and you spend all day shouting "OOOOOAH!".
As everyone else has said, join a British force like the Royal Marines if you want to do shooty shooty things.
