press ups problem

ive got my PRMC in a few months and i can manage all the maximums except press ups ive been tryin loads of different ways but still only manage 30
for others i can do 10 pull ups
>80 sit ups
3 miles 18 min
any help would be great thanks guys

To be honest mate you just gotta push yourself through it and perform an extra couple of reps every few day's.

You could try a bit of upper body work at the gym?

Chest press/shoulder press/lateral pull downs/ bicep curls

Its mainly stamina that will let you down,try some resitance work. At my gym they had a machine which had 'pedals' chest height you you just peddled on for ages building stamina in your arms. You may (like wilson suggested) find weight lifting helps. Low weight and high reps will increse stamina and then on another day high weights and low repeitions.I tend to do both on the same day quickly followed by the pressups,because your arms will already be tired you aim for the same amount of reps and slowly build up.Then remove the weight training and you will see a gret inprovement,its just a matter of getting used to pushing till you fall to the ground.
