not strictly true. There are 3 leave periods a year where every recruit goes home. Summer, Easter & Christmas (which we're on now).

Dont know the dates but cant imagine it'd be too difficult to find out for ye.

I think Timex is referring to around the units, whereas Illustrious is referring purely to nods. Personally I'm already owed 3 weeks, and by the end of my shortened POTL will be owed another 1 plus this Christmas, which makes six...but you can only carry three forward...and apparently sending me home early to take it is out of the question

So think yourself a lucky barsteward you're getting any at all

Seriously, don't know, but I'd put money on Lympstone summer being 3 weeks from the 7th Aug, as YOs always start straight after leave, and in the first week of September.

From memory, As and when, depending on what your unit is doing at the time.

Sorry but when someone posts asking for generic leave dates with no specific Mil background then thats the answer I thought best. What recruits do is neither here or there..

timex, appreciated, wasn't having a dig; however Mr_kiwi is in the joining process as we speak, so I guess the Lympstone dates are what he's after.

Training establishments usually coincide (approximately) with school dates (Xmas, Easter and summer).
