Classic crap on ‘the wireless’

Post by sportbilly42 »

Nostalgia.......... It ain’t what it used to be is it.....

The announcement of the death of Oliver Postgate today (creator of The Clangers, Ivor The Engine, Bagpuss and such like) took me back to my youthful youthfulness and, apart from my TV memories of Oliver’s classic cathode ray tube tat, I also had a flashback (for no apparent reason) of listening to Ed Stewpot on a Saturday morning and thought “They don’t do programmes for kids anymore do they?”

.......... Some classic crap on there ........

they don’t make ‘em like that anymore......

Who can forget the unforgetable Mitch Murray and his ‘I drink to your memory’ (click link - enjoy!)

Just back from the pub and thought I’d share..........
......and I drink to your memory....... (hic..)

Any other classic crap favourites you’d never want on your iPod (but would secretly want to hear again?)

‘Puff The Magic Dragon’ anyone?
