Subject: [w-r-a-c] Petition Vulcan Bomber
Subject: Petition To Save Vulcan 558

Good evening everyone

I know that a lot of you are very busy people but I would like to ask
you to take a few minutes to sign up to a petition to the Prime
Minister which is asking for State help to keep the only flying Vulcan
from being moth balled due to lack of funds. The restoration of the
Vulcan has been a massive project costing in the region of £6 million
and the aircraft has just completed her first very successful display
season. Unfortunately, although every airshow that we have flown at
has had record attendance figures, we have failed to attract a major
financial sponsor to see us through the winter until the start of the
2009 display season and as things stand at the moment there is every
possibility that the aircraft will be mothballed thereby denying the
public the pleasure of seeing her fly again.

Although I have asked you as individuals to help us by signing up to
the petition may I also ask you to forward this plea onto as many
email addressees as you can please. We need a minimum of 200,00
signatures and if each of you can forward this plea to at least 10
others then we will soon reach our minimum target.

Thank you for reading this. Please help us in our time of need.

Kind regards

Barry Masefield
