Chandler - Brave Little Trooper

Post by Rogue Chef »

Ahoy there!
I have recently been in contact with our Para Reg brothers and have been alerted to the plight of Chandler Biddiss, the three year old son of a serving Para. Chandler has had the odds stacked against him from birth. The Maroon Machine has kicked into action and, on the weekend of Friday 9th May, is doing the Fan Dance, sponsored to raise awareness and support on behalf of Chandler and his family.
I have been asked by one of the organisers, former Para Bob Sidmond, to spread the word.
To find out more, send a message of support or offer sponsorship go to http://www.2para.co.uk

Cheffie,
I read about little Chandler last night on the site. He's had a tough time for all of his short life. He's a real little fighter, even though the odds have been stacked against him from day one. He's a brave little lad...hope the lads get all the support that they need.

Ex Parachute Regiment and all Airborne Web Site:

Brave Little Trooper

Hi,

My name is Yone and I am the (Space Cadet that runs this site)… http://www.2para.co.uk

First of all many thanks for including us on here…. We are trying to help this little boy and his family, this will be our first Charity Event. So any help you can give us we would be extremely grateful… We do want to make it a great success……
We are going to be holding a sponsored walk in Brecon. Powys (The Fan Dance) … hey its only a little hill and I am sure most of you will know of it…
On Saturday May the10th… But we are going to make a weekend of it… meeting on the Friday… If you feel you can help in any way please get in touch with me…. I can email/or send you a sponsorship form… Or if you would like to hold your own event… please do so … the more help the better….
This little boy’s over come some many battles so far, and now we would like him and his family to have a well earned holiday… Have a look on the links on our web site, Brave Little Trooper and The Fan Dance and you will see despite his disability, he always got a smile on his face…

Our site is still in its infancy, but we are getting well known (Can’t think why) something to do with the 2 para Reunion (Maybe)….

Well if you can help this little chap, please email me on yone.62@btopenworld.com or you contact me on my mobile 07739 131212 and I will gladly give you more details….

Many Thanks Again Eve (Yone)

Best of luck to you all. Who called us heartless b'stards? I really hope this is a massive sucess for you all. When the chips are down... it takes a cap badge and a few ideas to get things rolling. It doesn't matter what badge or how many of them.
Good luck to the little fella.

Ahoy there Sticks!
Someone referring to himself as 'Lean Green Machine' was posting inflammatory messages at http://www.parachute-regiment.com
general consensus is that he and Airborne are one and the same.
On this site, look down the left hand side and click on Parachute Regimental Association, then on message board.
Beware, because of 'Lean Green Machine', there are some very derisory comments about the Corps.

Chef, I've just had a look at his threads. I am disgusted that someone like this is bringing my Corps into disrepute. I am certain that he is either:

A. A Fake
B. A Mitty
C. An a***hole who is not one of us!

I am also fairly certain it is not Airhorn. Having read the posts he made they do not have any of the characteristics of Airhorn i.e. Bad Spolling, USING CAPS, or not using any punctuation at all (unless he did this to throw anyone off the scent. He is probaly someone in need of a good kicking or in need of medical help. If Mr Parry is reading this I think this guy could be the first frontal lobobtomy you cocked up!

Well done Bob, agree entirely. Sorry I took so long to delete the latest input.
Hope the Fan Dance goes well. We are doing the 30 miler 'again,' collecting for the charities helping those who suffer with PTSD. I'm sure if we were not doing ours a week later there would be a few who would take part. ?Next time? 8)
You should talk to somebody who gives a f**k.

Good luck with the Fan Dance, trust you lot to have strippers along with you, all we get is a bloody thirty miler. Time for a re-nameing ceremoney I think.
I hope that you are more than successful in raising your funds, I will try to raise a little to help out.
I have read the story several times and one word make me cry every time, Hydrocephalus, I had to guard the head ward, as it was called, at the RVI in Belfast and used to sit with the kids who had this awful illness, should have been watching the IRA scum but sat and read these great kids stories instead. Good job there are Paras and Marines because I am sure that there is no God when you see what some children go through.
He's one brave kid, you can see the spark in his eye even on the web site and a great smile.

I hope that if God is up there he's got his red lid on for this young chap.
