Just read a book about an american pararescue, some info on the job here:

just wondering if the RAF has an equivalent, do the RAF reg provide this role and can you train in it?? Just passed all my tests for rock ape n got me entry date for honning ton in Jan. Wasn't getting ahead of myself and planing on ding it b4 I've got thru the 29 weeks or anything just curious.

Think the nearest thing in the UK would be SPAG, but you would need to join the Navy for a start. :)

nah mate don't wanna do SPAG, was just curious about pararescue as I've never heard of a British equivalent, still going raf reg. The basic has just been extended to 29 weeks too, like I said I'll focus of getting through that before I even think about any sort of gucci specialisation.
