I realise in some form or other this question has been asked before but none recently. I waited four years to qualify for the RAF ( am half South African) and in December I got called saying I could apply as my chosen trade was open for the first time in 6 months (Aircraft technician - mechanical). So in a matter of 3 weeks I had passed all the tests and interviews and PJFT and now its April and I have not even heard a word, why would this be?
If I had not phoned them every few weeks I would have been even less in the know, and the guy at London AFCO just keeps saying 'we will let you know when dates come up'. I mean after four years I am pretty damn patient but not getting any info from the AFCO on the wait has made the last few months worse than the four years before that!
Yes I will probably get a letter soon, but surely they have some idea of whats going on..........hmmmmmm

Two words you will soon become entirely sick of hearing - "Operational Requirements".
Hope you're not waiting too much longer!

You can have peace.
Or you can have freedom.
Don't ever count on having both at once.
