I bought this book when it came out on the off chance when I saw it in woolworths and I'm glad I did buy.
This book is perfect for anyone who is interested in medieval history, the crusades and the Poor Fellow-Soldiers of Christ and of the Temple of Solomon and the other various western military orders of the period.
The book is cleverly written as it is split in two halfs, not down the middle but what it does it follows two characters stories at the same time, usually split by a chapter.
The book is a fiction yes and it does have it's innacuracies but does follow real dates and events, Robyn Young(the author) really tries to keep with history in this book.
I'd suggest that read this book, it's really quite spectacular.
Oh and by the way the second book in the trilogy, Crusade, has just come out.
