Helmand exhibition

Post by Skeav »

http://www.national-army-museum.ac.uk/e ... s/helmand/

This is a new exhibition opening about the on going conflict in the province which has been contributed to by soldiers who were there with photos, stories and various items they donated (such as contact calenders). It features mock defensive positions and living quarters created by the actual men who built them in Helmand. It also says they'll continue to expand the exhibition as new stories and donations arrive.

Cheers

Yeah fair one!

That pic was obviously prior to the platoon beard growing competition!! 8)

Went to the exhibition today, was pretty good actually. Was quite spooky to see my PF mural from Musa Qaleh replicated just as you turn into the exhibition. They had even got my handwriting spot-on! :o Shame there wasn't a card explaining what it was all about though. Managed to get on a couple of the pics too. 8)

Here's a pic of the original in case any of you think I'm bluffing btw;
