I note with interest the comments regarding the latest book by one Quentin Rees, the self proclaimed authority on all things concerning wartime canoeing.

Also looking at the Amazon site I find that one person has rubbished every other book about the Cockleshell Heroes, even one written by Bill Sparks!
I find that persons style of writing very similar to another person!

There was a doc on the History channel which dug up some more intel on Op Frankton.
SOE were running a similar shoreside op that almost ran in to the same shit that the Klepper boys did.
Dreadful lack of comms.Fairly typical of Mountbatten who should have been fired a year previously.
It was never proven that he knew about both operations but if he didn't then all the more reason he should have been fired.
