Outlaw - "Out of the war... into the battlefield"

Post by SO19 »

Here's the trailer and some screens from the new Sean Bean film, Outlaw.

One up for the Reg! 8)

Betrayed by their government and let down by the law, a renegade gang set out to right the wrongs of the world in Nick Love's Outlaw.

Under the charge of war-veteran Danny Bryant (Sean Bean) and assisted by Lewis (Bob Hoskins), a disheartened cop, this assortment of dejected individuals form a modern-day outlaw posse to avenge the criminal underworld and enforce their own brand of justice.

Gaining notoriety in their quest, the group, once disregarded by all, become public icons. It's only when their celebrity exceeds their success that the Outlaw legacy is destroyed.

A provocative, contemporary thriller, Outlaw explores the roots of people's
shattered lives and reveals what happens when victims of crime seek
revenge by taking the law into their own hands.

Outlaw is a story about a group of people that take the law into their own
hands and try to right what they see as wrongs in England today. It's about people that are sick of being treated like they don't exist. Ghosts in the system. Failed by the government and left to defend for themselves by
a redundant police force. Stripped of their voice and pushed to the back
of the queue.

Outlaw is about people that have had enough and decide to do something
about it. They take to the streets and deal with the wrongs themselves.
They take to arms and self police the long forgotten and decayed no go
areas.

There will be no excuses.

The guilty will be punished by violence.

No one is above outlaw.

Stepping off the Hercules C130J onto a deserted pan, the rugged war-worn soldier slowly walked to the desolate Air Terminal with his head down and kit slung over his shoulder. This was the scene being filmed with Sean. Bean at RAF Lyneham on Sunday 7 May 2006 for a new film production called "Outlaw" by Vertigo Films.

Vertigo Films approached RAF Lyneham back in March asking to use the Hercules to film some scenes for their new film "Outlaw" written by Nick Love; RAF Lyneham was glad to help out. The film crews were very efficient and no sooner had they off loaded their equipment onto the aircraft, they had taken the shots they needed and were ready to pack up and go. Sean Bean was a complete gentleman and took time out of his tight filming schedule to be shown around the Hercules C130J and chat to the Ground Engineers who were helping out.

Writer / Director Nick Love said: "The filming went smoothly without any glitches thanks to the preparation and organisation by RAF Lyneham. I am very grateful for all the help and assistance provided by all the staff on the day."

Nick Love is a critically acclaimed writer and director whose latest films include The Football Factory and The Business. Outlaw is his latest project and boasts actors such as Sean Bean, Danny Dyer and the award winning Bob Hoskins. The story centres around 5 men from different backgrounds who have been dealt a bad hand in life. On the surface these men have nothing in common, but after losing everything, the men come together to stop making excuses for their apathy, start taking action against the rot that has set in their lives.

OUTLAW will be distributed in the UK by Pathe Distribution, slated for Autumn 2007 release.

Went to see it last night and they made Sean Bean look more like a crap hat than a paratrooper when he came off the herc with his smock hanging out his bergen and his helmet hanging off it.

Was a good film but it was a bit slow at times.

How could I ever forget 8)

In 1992, a crack pathfinder unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Golder`s Green underground. Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire... The A-Team.

It's a well-made movie, although there's too much shaky camera-work for my liking. Trouble is, it's another movie portraying ex-reg guys as unhinged lunatics (remember Dead Man's Shoes?)
