What does an "Offer of Service" interview consist

Post by chris_UK »

Hi all,
I'm due to attend my "offer of service" interview on the 12th Dec 07' at AFCO Nottingham, but I'm not fully aware of what to expect! I've only really been given a rough idea of what to expect and was wondering of there's anybody who had undertaken one, who could share there experience with me. I'd be most greatful!

I'm doing alot of research into my chosen trade, (Aerospace Systems Operator) and I'm confident that I know sufficent information about the trade. But is there anything else I need to be clear of prior to this interview?

I'd be most greatful to anybody who could help me!

Take Care Everybody :)

i *THINK* its just to make sure nothing has changed since your last interview and that you still want to join the RAF etc

don;t quote me on that though, my next step is the offer of service also, havent got a date yet!

Have you been given a "possible join date"

Formal offer of service
If you’re successful and are selected for the RAF, you will receive a formal offer of service: this is the letter telling you you’ve got the job.

Maybe they want to interview instead of sending a letter?

- searched RAF and no relations to 'offer of service interview'.
I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones.

Hey Andrew!

I've been given a propsed entry date on the 17th Jan 2007. I'm almost sure you're right about the offer of service....... thats what my recruiter said anyway.... just to check that you still want to join and that you've kept your nose clean.. so on & so forth!

But I'm still going to find out more of what to expect throughout my proposed career! It aint going to hurt me!

What trade are you going for? Also what careers office have you been attending?
