Taste For Adventure Needs Your Votes!!

Since 1991 The Taste for Adventure Centre in Credenhill, Hereford has been empowering thousands of disabled and disadvantaged individuals each year. Now we have an opportunity to win a Peoples Millions grant of £50’000 to help us improve our facilities and reach out even further. Founder, Everest summiteer and ex SAS Sergeant Major ‘Brummie’ Stokes needs your help to do it!!



The charity, founded in 1991 by ‘Brummie’, his wife Lynn, other ex-SAS soldiers and concerned local citizens, strives to help less privileged and disadvantaged people. Through a combination of adventurous pursuits and community projects Taste For Adventure has helped almost 30’000 people since its inception.



Whether it's assisting people to achieve self confidence, self esteem and endeavor through adventurous activities, or rousing community spirit with Friendship clubs and meals for the elderly, Brummie and the rest of the team excel in teaching people the ‘will to win’ and plain old ‘getting on with each other.’



Now we need your help!! Time is taking its toll on some of our facilities and to keep providing the fantastic support we do, we need to revamp some of our equipment, maintain the buildings and provide better access for less able and elderly users as well as continuing to develop innovative and liberating activities that are friendly to all our users needs.



We need your votes and the votes of your family, friends and colleagues. Please forward this email to them. On the day of the vote we will contact you with the number to ring. On Wednesday the 15th of November the Taste for Adventure Centre will be competing for votes on ITV’s peoples millions (screened on the regional evening news, usually between 6pm and 7 pm) for the chance to win £50’000!! Please help us to continue helping Herefordshire, tune in and vote!! Calls and texts will cost approximately 10p with a maximum of 6 calls per line or mobile allowed.
