Hey, teenager, looking for some help.

Hi.

I'm new here and have enjoyed reading the threads while it took 2 days for my password to come (!) and would just like to ask a few questions if possible. They revolve around the Marines and the Army but I'm not sure which folders to put them in then.

1) Can a Royal Engineer attached to a Commando Unit do Royal Marine Training such as the Mountain Leader Course?
2) Does the SBS have the same system as the SAS, in that they train as Medics, Linguists, Demolitions Experts or Signallers?

I'm 14 now and in the Marine Cadets, and want to pursue a career in the Royal Marines or the Army.

Thanks for any help you can give, sorry if the post was a bit long and naive.

Heyup Bungle,
I often wondered what you got up to after Rainbow 8)
No and No to your questions.
You`ve got lots of life to get through before you`re old enough to join either t`Army or t`Corps mate.
It`s like making lurve to a beautifull woman(as Swiss Tony would say :P )Do not rush it, take your time and enjoy being fourteen, fifteen, sixteen etc.
And welcome aboard

Welcome to the site mate - nice to see someone from my side of the 'sheugh'.

148 (Meiktila) Battery Royal Artillery have a specialist gunfire support role, that calls for their men to do both Royal Marine and Para selection and training, but that is a long way down the road yet for you.

Harry has it right, don't wish your life away. All this will come soon enough.
