Sounds like your email provider Dan, not MFAT. (I'm presuming your name's Dan...?)

Or just check the forum instead, seems the logical choice...

And no you don't get interviewed over the phone, he'll just tell you to go to the AFCO to get the ball rolling. You don't have to wait for him to ring, it's really not that important. See http://www.mfat.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?t=11777 if you're still unsure of what goes on...

Waiting for PRMC, same as everyone else... :D

I'm pretty sure if you just go into the AFCO and explain things they'll sort you out. Don't worry mate, it's not that scary..

dan first you need to go down the afco and they will give the info you need and application forms. Once you have filled these in and sent them back you will get a date for your written test. If you pass this you have to do an eye test. Then an interview which will be done at the afco. There loads of topics on this somewhere. After that its the medical and pjft and onec you have passed all these you will get a date for prmc so i think you do have more than enough time to get fit as it took me about 5 months from going to the afco to getting a date for prmc. I dont know how long it took for other people as it ranges but you wont be getting a prmc date just yet.

Err cant remeber all the sections seems ages since i did it. Think it consists of mechanical, numeracy, literacy and 2 others. Its not pish easy like the armys but its not solid either. The afco will give you some practice books before you do it.

BTW mate, a word of warning. On the Written test you must achieve a certain level on each part. COncentrate on mechanical comprehension. On my PRMC 1 decent lad who got excellent scores apart from the bleep test which he fell short of lev 11, that alone can stop your entry. Guys who got an RT4 which means they need lev 11 on bleep test and no less. Just make sure you do your best. If you don't get RT4 you will see how pressurizing it is on PRMC. Do well mate.
THinking about leaving already!

When i did the written test a few months ago now, only two of us passed out of 8!!, wasn't exactly rocket science but you only get 8 mins a section which is not long at all consider you sometimes read the questions twice, so my tip is stay calm read the question slowly and clearly and above all if you miss any out just guess them, i guessed five on the test and got them all right!
PJFT: June o6 - 9.07
PRMC: Passed December 07
