My real aim is RAF but i was just looking at the possibility of AAC and wanted to know a bit more about RCB..thanks.

I'd stick with applying to the RAF and forget about the AAC, not only do you have to pass "flying grading" during your first leave but you will also need to be in the "top third" of your intake at RMAS, and its a subjective top third.

Sorry to sound pessimistic, but if you have to get through the Commissioning Course to get where you want, I'd think about it very carefully.

All that said, the Army offers so many things to aspire to, and thousands rise to the occasion to get into elite units or trades, so good luck and enjoy the process as much as the goal.

Have I got this right - you are trying to insinuate that getting into the Army Air Corps as a Pilot is harder than the RAF?! Or have I missed the point.

I don't know which one is ultimately harder, I'm just trying to point out that the AAC is not a soft option. I went to Sandhurst and the people who went to the AAC stood out.

You can tell me, then. Do you go to Cranwell and then do pilot selection or are you chosen as a pilot before you begin officer training?
