My point about Shackleton is that he would have regarded himself as a British Subject and, although Irish, deserves consideration for the title.
Much the same way as Billy Conolly is a British Subject. Or me, for that matter. Not that I`m suggesting you vote for either of us. Billy Conolly is shite anyway
