Most if not all the members her pay lip service to the MODs dictat in recruiting Gays. I am sure that if the Generals and Admirals had the choice they would have never openly recruited. You can lay the whole issue at PC....idiots door
Since you have been recruited please save us the rhetoric of your Holier than though attitude... It may be of interest to you that the services have always had Gays amongst their ranks.... the difference between you and them is that they didn’t broadcast it to everyone and to be truthful most hetros could not care a dam what sexual orientation they were.
Before you get back to me... I have never been a Homophile and never will be.... But like most, I DO give a shit if its pushed in front of my face every time I turn a corner... for gods sake get on with your life.. Thing is proud2serve,
The only mammals that have intercourse for fun aswell as making babies are Humans and Dolphins (except my wife who didnt really see the fun in it and I left before babies became an issue)
So without going down the line that could be used by a lesser intellect, isnt being a homosexual just about having fun?
Your not normal as nature intended as you can't make babies rogering a bottom.
I aint anti gay, everyone is entitled to do what they want aslong as its legal and doesnt upset anyone else.
Thing is though it isnt "normal" is it? Both my parents were straight, but then again so were yours.
As for homosexuals in the Armed forces, well it isnt for me to ponder on the rights or wrongs of it, except to say that the Forces being the way it is and the humour it entails, you should expect some stick (no pun intended)
I got stick for being Welsh, for being a matelot amongst booties. Wrens get stick for being women. Theres a whole list of piss taking opportunities that could be used against anyone.
What I hate is the dorothys crying everytime they are called a poof. Is it because your ashamed? If I call you a poof, call me a twat back and there we are. If you call me a twat then I call you a poof and you spout JSPs and cry to the RSM then bog off cos the forces definatly isnt for you. Seriously, why does sexuality have to be an issue all the time? I'm not into the puffs who need to showcase! Do your job and shut your gaggie and all will be well. One of the hardest men I ever knew (pun most definitely intended) was a gay scouser in the Duke of Edinburgh's Royal Regt. (or, because they were from Berks/Wilts, but let in Jocks, Taffs, Scousers, etc., very soon became known as the "Duke of Anybody's Royal Regt.). He had a rep as a very good soldier and that was that. I never even knew he was bent until sevral years later. Just as it should be. My opinion of him now? Not much dif than when I just knew him as a tough, professional squaddie. Why? Becase he didn't come on all Mary Jane and simper-ish!
I'm pleased as punch that I am hetro, but I don't feel like shouting it from the roof tops! In any case, I get more out of this than a mere humoros wardrobe malfunction...

Good discussion. Always makes me laugh when this argument comes onto the media, and you get some office civvy who says something like "I work with a Homosexual and it's no problem". Good for you mate, difference is you don't drink with him, shower with him and share a small tent with him for six months! As for the comparison with the females in the front line argument and the problems inter-unit relationships cause, the Israeli infantry tried it and it didn't work out, so they went back to males only. Females can refuse to stay in a tent with males, but males can't refuse to share accomodation with a Homosexual man. How the fcuk does that work?
