I hate to be a patronizing turd but it should be phrased:I think i did bad in the corse-work but i dont know how good i did in the exam.
"I think I did badly in the course-work and I don't know how well I did in the exam."
The good news is that I read in the paper that spelling and puncuation are not regarded as that important in English exams anymore, I s**t you not, what they do mark the paper on remains a mystery.
God, these kids need a kick up the arse don’t they! Stinky, or what ever your really called, sort yourself out you little scrot, or you will soon find yourself being turned down for a job stacking shelves in Sainsburys. I pissed about when I was at school much to the amusement of my class, I then found myself sitting in an adult education centre "re learning" the maths I should of learnt in my GCSE year but didn’t because I was to busy acting the fool.
And now in "new" English for you sub - Ed, illiterate dog ends.
god. dese kids need a kik up da ass dnt thy, stinky or wht evr ur really calld, sort it out u lil scrot or u will soon find urself, bein trned down 4 a job stakin shelvs in sainsbrys i pissd bout whn i was at skool much 2 da amuzmnt of my class i thn found myself sittin in da adult educaton cntre "re learnin" the numbers an shit i shoud of learnt in GCSE year but dint coz i was 2 busy actin da fool.
Please note the poor spelling and total lack of grammar so hopefully everyone can understand what I was saying.
Oh yea, it also took me almost twice as long to type the second one as it did the first, I wonder how long it takes these “special little kiddies” to post a message.

You are almost correct. There is certainly not the requirement for 100% spelling/grammar accuracy in examination scripts these days, but there remains a proportion of available marks for such.themattmeister wrote:The good news is that I read in the paper that spelling and puncuation are not regarded as that important in English exams anymore, I s**t you not, what they do mark the paper on remains a mystery.
Speaking as one 'in the trade,' there are reasons for that which I won't bore you with. SEN and suchlike. (Special Educational Needs.)

No. Really, I shouldn’t
Bin English because the tossers who are unable to fully communicate in the language of their country will feel inadequate.
Bin exams because they favour those who are able to understand the subject, retain knowlege and therefore will excel at exams and this makes those who are shite at exams feel inadequate
Bin competitive sport because it favours those who enjoy sport, team games and like to win and it causes those who are shite at phys to feel inadequate.
Continue with educational mayhem like this for twenty years and then act surprised.
Hey presto, utopia
Every one`s a winner!
`Course they are
What percentage increase in grades did we manage this year?
Meanwhile in the real world I had job applications from semi literate sloths.
Perhaps it`s just me

alright guys and gals, thought i'd post here as i have just finished my GCSE's and saw the thread going from sleeping trouble to exams
Not bragging or anything but currently im in a grammar school and to get back into the sixth form we need at least a B in the 4 subjects we're going to take next year and then a further 2 C's for some oddball reason totalling 4 B's and 2 C's which is the highest in the region. Regarding the difficulty of said exams i must say that they were slightly easier than i expected and in the exams managed to answer all the questions (EVEN THE SCIENCE'S!!! if you knew me you'd know what an achievement this is lol) but i don't think i did enough revision leading upto them. Just have to wait for August to see my fate. If i dont get what i need i hope i gave the examiner a bloody painful paper cut!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! W.W.W

Well done www, I think
Jayne, nice to see they`ve managed to impart a positive spin
"Special Educational Needs" indeed Sounds much better than the old "Educationally Sub-Normal"
Same letters, though
