Arent' they the same thing? (I'm not very wordy, but by gum I can be picky when I want to be
)
I think the question is; Which Briton has had the most influential publicity to you?
And by the way, my vote goes to our beloved El Presidente, but only because I'm short of cash

Fluffy bunnies - Grrrrr!
I think Herny 8th must be up there with them, if it had not been for the Reformation would the Country or the world develop the way it did. By breaking with Rome he unleashed a freedom of thought and enterprize that still shapes the world today. Just look at some of the richest countries in the World and some of best run and happiest places. Where do all immigrants want to go, America, Canada,UK,Ausrtalia, and New Zealand,
all british at one time or the other and still run along the same lines.

Hi Tab, glad to see you made it mate, 'where do all the immigrants want to go to' well we all know where they have gone to don't we, however in a recent poll 46% of British people want to leg it out of here, I wonder where to? Islamabad or another exotic part of the Middle East, anyone thinking of it stay clear of Syria, might not be a healthy place to reside once Dubya gets his way............

Geography
Harry, I know that prior to partition all of Ireland was part of the United Kingdom, and as such its people were British Citizens. This is not to be confused with "the British Isles" which still remains Great Britain and the island of Ireland, both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. My point about Shackleton being Irish is not that he is ineligible to be considered here, but rather he is not a "true Englishman" as described earlier.
Anyway it is still Blair Mayne.

Nice one, could quite be.
my vote goes to Tommy Cooper.He could get 2million people laughing without opening his mouth.Thats very special.
Vote 2...Patrick Moore(sky at night).Eccentric as hell.Got to the top of his profession without formal training,dressed like a scran bag and has no "side" to him whatsoever.If ever the Queen steps down either of these two should be put on our stamps.
Aye Veloman
