I had been in the local drinking emporium a-watching (and subsequently celebrating) Man U winning the FA Cup.
I had also had a garden-full of the recently passed-out son and his mates all day. In fact, the lad had REALLY passed out on a sun-lounger which is why he was absent from the jollifications that night. Three of his mates accompanied me to the 'do' if you remember, as thay were rather more compus mentis than he was.
It was a belting night and friends who just happened to be there still talk about it.
