. Promotion in the Marines is a fooking killer. You have to repeat your commando course!

Load of Bollox! You go to CTCRM for your Juniors, Seniors and Advanced Command courses and yes you do get to do things like speed marching and suchlike. But thats what you do in a unit anyway. You certainly didnt do the Commando Course again!

Well I farking well didnt anyway. Did my JCC and SCC and most of it was all about man management interpersed with such fun things like Section/Troop Attacks, Drill, mapreading. All the stuff you do anyway as a Trained Bootneck. The only difference being you are expected to lead.

If a Guy went Corp Commision then yes, you do do the entire Commando course again. So What? Once you earn the Green Lid repeating the Commando course should hold no fears whatsoever for you.

6 weeks? I always thought that the commando course (AACC) is the same for which ever service you go for - 9 weeks, or is the AACC different to the RM commando course?
