Mike is that you in the cell next to me? Any chance of a quiet hour or two, I need the kip.
How many economic migrants and asylum seekers can this country cope with. We have bunches of them hanging around the city and especially outside Tescos etc; they spend ages clocking the women going about their daily tasks. A recent rapist was described as being swarthy, of meditteranean appearance, non-English speaking and badly dressed. Doesn't take a lab rat to work that out does it?

I have read this topic with interest, however, I was reluctant to enter into the discussion, as I left the UK over 20 years ago and do not have the in depth experience and knowledge of the present day situation within the UK, that many others have.

I would like to take my generation back to the early 60's. An MP from the Midlands predicted what was going to happen to the UK if the immigration policies were not changed. This MP was branded as a racist by all parties, forced to leave the Tory party and sit as an Ulster Unionist, from where he disappeared into obscurity. Who is laughing now Enoch Powell?

Aye - Andy.

Knocker had it right,so did Lord Goddard, when he estimated immigration

already stood at 7 million, not the 1.5 that the govt estimates said.

Anyone who travels around our major cities knows where the truth lies,

and it aint with any govt.lash-up.

Both the old guy's were ostracised for telling us the truth, thats the big

problem lawyers have, they can't stand the truth.

Aye Owdun.(I'm all for a bloody revolution, but we aint got the keys
to the armoury)

This is true,
in 92 I was running across the concourse of Euston Station to catch the 1805 inter-city. Walking towards me was a slight figure in overcoat and Homburg. Strange, I thought, for it was mid-July. Then I recognised the face of our Enoch and stopped dead in my tracks, about two meters from the Great Man. With that slightly puzzled expression that most people adopt when they first meet the Hackster, he looked at me and said, simply "Yes?"
"Nocker, it`s you!"
"Obviously"
"You were right"
"I know" he said, with an expression that said f&*king idiot. I felt like I was the umpteenth person to tell him that day.
Off we both went and I often wondered if he went home and told Mrs Powel "Guess who I`ve just met"

Aye, Harry, News At Ten, stating the bleeding obvious, Euston Station.

Funny ? ... how History repeats itself !
Look at the way Churchill was regarded by the Chamberlains of this World, when He was warning about Hitler's intentions, because His views didn't coincide with the "Party Line",He was rubbished both inside & outside Parliament.

They didn't go quite so far as to brand Him a Fascist,as they branded poor Enoch a Racist ( there was still a Modicum of Honour in Politics then ) but the principle remains the same.Anyone rocking the cosy little boat, has to be destroyed ! (at all costs & by any means)

Yet both Winston & Enoch have been proved right on all counts & still Our Politicians & their "bleeding heart" supporters don't or won't learn ! .... 'course as My old Granny used to say "There's none so blind,as them that don't want to see".

By the time someone grows the cojones to grasp this particular nettle,it will be too late !

They were men of vision and honour, they said what they thought without regard for the consequences, because they believed they were right; and have subsequently been proven correct. How many of the limp wristed, of any party, in the house of comedians can be ranked alongside them? Nil.
(Churchill could orate for 2 hours, without repetition, without notes.)

Like Tom and Andy I jumped the sinking UK ship and struck out for friendlier shores, but I only left four years ago and as I have been back for visits on a few occasions I can fully understand the dismay of you guys as you watch the old country sinking into a morrass of political correctness....I have one oppo (still a serving bootie) who has a file on his computer, which he adds to daily, entitled... “Reasons For Emigrating”. A couple of points on Emigrating.....An important thing to look at is your Old Age Pension....It will be frozen at the rate you first draw it if you move to most Commonwealth countries...Certainly Canada, Australia & South Africa. It is a stupid situation, something both major political parties agree about when in opposition but refuse to address when in power. There are organizations of Brit pensioners in most of these countries that are working to get the situation rectified, but it will be a long fight. So that is something to take account of when you are doing your sums for old age in the new world. As far has being called an immigrant, I can only speak for myself in Canada, but I have found nothing but help and friendship from the locals, and after 12 months of residency I was able to vote in municipal and provincial elections. Since taking Canadian citizenship (after 3 years residency) I now have a vote in federal elections as well........NO MORE PREMIERS FROM QUEBEC!!..
On the welfare front my sponsor had to guarantee that I would not claim welfare for ten years after arrival. Before I was granted citizenship I had to take an exam, in one of the 2 official languages of the country, the exam consisted of questions on Canada’s History, Geography and Constitution. Pass mark for the Hist & Geog part was 75%, but for the Constitutional and Political questions you had to get 100%..........I wonder how those two little nuggets would go down in UK??
So good luck to you all, those that feel they have to escape, and those that are going to keep on fighting at home.

Welcome back Dave, I guess things are slowing down at the garden centre.

The one thing that Dave forgot to mention. Adults arriving in Canada after 1 July 1977, may only receive a reduced Canadian OAS pension. There are many if's and but's with reference to eligibility conditions, too many to list here, but it is something you should be aware of if considering coming to Canada.

I remember when Enoch was telling us the future for Britain, and it all seemed to make total sense to me! I couldn't understand why he was given such a hard time, but I was abroad a great deal then, helping to hand back countries to their rightful owners; only to have them follow me back to my green and pleasant land! It seems once we handed these countries back, they weren't worth living in! It's still happening; in Zimbabwe.
'She who must be obeyed' and I, had a holiday in Vancouver Canada in 1987, and we were so impressed with the country, and the people, that we applied to immigrate. We were turned down! It's just as well I guess, as the 'exams' to get in would have taxed us something awful! :o
We'll just have to put up with sharing England with the rest of the world's travellers!
What I don't understand is, why don't we show the Asylum Seekers where our Asylums are? Am I missing something, again?
Confused of Dorset.

What you are not seeing,Derek,is the fact that it's one big asylum that we
now live in.Can't blame you for not realising that fact,it ,sort of,creeps up on you, like the cult and his cronies.

Aye Owdun. :drinking:
