four five off to afgahnistan
canadian casualties
thanks alot for your coverage of the unfriendly fire 'incident' that killed the troops from PPCLI. Your comments hit close to home as I am in Canadian Army Reserves and most of my instructors have been PPCLI. This yanky gung ho shoot'em all and let god sort'em out attitude seems a little to common for a military that claims to be professional. Does any one know of a good web site that deals with the Royals in Afghanistan ()or have they left already, I know our boys are back).
Canada, I think most if not all are back home now. infact, I guess they are readying themselves for another bash at Sadam, like it or not!
I know that 45cdo have been cajouled into taking pills of various renowned and I guess they are hoping to get invisible pills where Elmer is concerned, your right, its a rum deal when you have to watch your back. Then of course in ten years nice old Mr Spielburge will be making hollywood epics without a mention of any others taking part in the conflict. My old man, a well travelled gent, always said the Americans were a very simple people, he should have added Dangerous as well.
Some years ago I had the privilage of passing through customs near Hope, BC,into Canada the lads and lassies on duty that night were taking every yank RV apart, Just for the sheer hell of it, I had a cup of tea with them and was passed strait through, shit did I get some looks from Elmer.
Aye

Canada, thanks for your input,
most people I talked to felt the same about this incident as they did about the Fusiliers. Our politicians prefer to forget" the ties that bind"
Don`t think we`d be as outraged if this "accident" had involved, say, Spanish or Danish troops.
