I don't watch it - the adverst are enough for me - i don't think I could handle all that realistic fighting stuff.

As for s*it on the TV - as far as I can see its no better of worse - just a different sort of sh*t.

so erm....great?

rather unrealistic but hey these guys are superheros...60km in 10 hours - Tabbing!
No cared about the officer, even if he was an arse...
Shit camo paint, tiny bergans for a 60mile "tab" and firefight.
James Bond trained enemys who couldnt shoot straight if it was on a tripod...
Good fun Thou
without even mentioning the fem on opps, the dude had the right idea "whats she doing here!" shame he died, would of been a good director...
enjoyed the gay airsteward...rather enlightening for the poor hardcase...
shame the scot didnt die, after all thats what he wanted...

cheers, dave

Now that was actually a pretty good program, lots of guns (that scoped armalite/203 thing fat bloke had at the start... Mmmmm *dribble*dribble*), a fair few explosions, and lots of rambo moments. Though the chap with the Y-fronts tied around his head was going a bit far methinks :). And fortunately it did have plenty of funny parts too, such as the James Bond bad guys mentioned, and the woman who managed to get her hand stuck in the ammo belt (god only knows how else it got there). It's just a shame the others weren't like this, they should have realised that ten seconds of decent gunplay is far more entertaining than five minutes of plot (at least given the quality in this series) :).

One other thing, 60km is jsut under 40 miles, and four miles an hour seems sustainable enough with those relatively small bergens?
Fluffy bunnies - Grrrrr!

I’m afraid I missed last nights programme :( but 60km or 40 miles from the British forces best regt is expected really isn’t it??? And before all you marines come out saying that the SBS are better, I don’t really care who is, it was just a comment...

i must of mis-read the diolouge, 4mph seems rather easy if your "the best soldier, in the best regiment, in the best army in the world" as it said in the last episode...

Old hard man Heno turned down support from the marines aswel! what is he doing, everyone knows they would of taken the complex better than those SAS ametures;)

cheers, dave

Shooting your own CO was a going a bit far even within the realms of TV fiction, made the whole series look ridiculous.

I'am not sure if its that ridiculous. If some1 was sh*ging your Mrs or best mates + he was a complete ares hole, then I think alot of people might think about picking up an enemys gun and poping a couple in him in that kind of situation they were in at the time. Not that its right or I agree with the action, I think some people may consider doing that if such things were to happen in a real life event.

(Woe there, how have I just become a celebrity member, it dont quite fit.......has it been that long  I remember the the first post like yesterday..... :fadein: how time............blar de blar).

URNU seem to recall that when the Paras dropped at Suez, the first casualty was the RSM,mysteriously shot in the back.

Or was that just a nasty rumour spread by people wearing green hats ???

Loz

You really should stop clicking on the 'Ultimate Farce' link. It'll do your blood pressure no good.

'You know it makes sense!' That would be the 'advice', not the programme!
