There is a singular and vital difference between Army Officers and Royal Marine Officers. RM Officers are trained, from scratch, alongside the men they will later command at CTC. They are trained by RM SNCOs and by other RM Officers. They are not trained by all and sundry at Sandhurst.
Agree with previous comment about good and bad and the generally affectionate use of "Rupert". Bad Officers are usually known as Pigs, thus:-
Good Troop Officer= Troop Boss
Bad Troop Officer = Troop Pig
Rupert wives are often called Seagulls or Yar-Yars, from the noise they make
