On normal week ends you can leave camp at around 12:30pm and have to be back on the same day at 8pm and the same goes for Sunday, but between 12:30 and 8pm if your family live close enough then you could spend a few hours with them but it would be best to spend that time with your oppos getting to know them more and having a laugh, but still no harm in seeing family every now and again.

Honest?

When I was down there you were allowed out the whole weekend. Are they reigning you in to stop the horrendous guard room queue that would end up getting thrashed every saturday night!

Is this just a phase 1 thing or does it continue into phase 2 now also?

It was when I was there in 2005. However, after seeing some of the leave passes that were in foundation, on PRMC, it doesn't seem to be that way.

Is the lad from the Falklands quite a quiet lad? I'm sure I was on the same PRMC as him, I remember him being youngish. do you know if he did his PRMC on 8th May?

Yea the rope / rock climbing makes me nervous. I dislocated my shoulder about 4 years back weightlighting. Afraid of it happening again lol.

It's good everyones getting by though. Ibuprofen will become your best friend.

actually i got a question about the rope climbing in RT macca. do you have to climb to the top with any weight on you or carrying a weapon or anything or is it just your own bodyweight because i read somewhere you will have to do it with weight. lol bit worrying because ive never tried that before!

also mate good luck with phase 2. half way to a beret now mate!

I know for the commando test, you need to climb 30 feet with all your gear, including weapon. My buddy did it. He said the secrets in the legs, not upper body strength. Propel yourself up wih your legs and master that technique and it will be a lot easier.
