Shooting after Phys
If you're talking about the Endurance test, then yes. After running the course on Woodbury you will have to run back to CTC and then get 6 out of 10 shots on a target representing a fig 11 at 200m. Get 5 or less and, regardless of completing it in the time, you will have failed and will have to re-do it.

Heres a little known fact. When Owdun did his CDO trg they still used Brownbess muskets and Hanna Snell was his troop Sgt!!!!owdun wrote:There was a 100 yard range in a field just outside Bickleigh Camp, in the 40s, and each speed march ended at this range. You then had to fire a mag of ten at various targets, the object being to see how fit to fight you were at the end of the march, t'were a right basssard I tell 'ee, lungs grabbing for air while you try to get in some accurate shots.
Owdun.

As part of the Army's Combat Infantrymans Course there used to be a march and shoot competition that involved a tab of about 9 miles followed by a shoot on the ranges. The shoot involved dashing forward 100 metres everytime a target popped up before engaging it. At one point respirators also had to be donned within the required 9 seconds. I don't know if they still do this but I believe so. This type of training can be very beneficial and quickly shows who will remain effective after physical exertion.Felias wrote:Am I right in assuming the Commandos are the only force in the mil that does shooting after Fizz?
